Question 1

Don't I already pay my architect and engineer for this advice?

Accepted Answer

They design your project, but they are not independent commercial and delivery risk advisors. Rockhance reviews their work from a constructability, cost and programme perspective, with no design or build interest of its own.

Question 2

How is this different from hiring a project manager?

Accepted Answer

A project manager runs the project day to day. Rockhance gives you independent validation at the decisions that matter most, often working alongside your existing PM rather than replacing them.

Question 3

When should I bring Rockhance in?

Accepted Answer

The earliest value is pre-construction, before design and contracts are locked in. We also support active construction and disputes where an independent view is needed.

Question 4

Will this slow down my programme?

Accepted Answer

No. Engagements are scoped to your timeline, typically 3 to 5 days to 1 to 2 weeks, and aimed at preventing the delays that come from issues found late.

Question 5

What do I actually receive?

Accepted Answer

A written report with findings, risk ratings and recommended actions, sometimes accompanied by a verbal briefing so you can act quickly.
